Paint correction: How we do it

Remove The Swirls and Get The Most Gloss
and Clarity From Your Paint
The aim of paint correction is to eliminate swirls and imperfections, allowing your car's finish to truly shine. Depending on your preference, we can target anywhere from 65% to 90% of the imperfections in your paint. This involves a meticulous two-step process of cutting and polishing to achieve maximum gloss and clarity in your paintwork.
However, certain scratches or imperfections may prove stubborn. Factors like the depth of the scratch or the nature of the imperfection, or even concerns about the thickness of the clear coat, may limit what we can achieve through polishing on specific panels.
In such cases, we exercise careful judgment to determine what can be safely addressed without compromising the integrity of your paint. It's not merely about removing imperfections but also ensuring that the paint remains healthy and stays within acceptable parameters.
Whether it's a 20-hour intensive session or a quicker 5-hour job, the extent of our polishing efforts is tailored to your desired outcome.
Even newer vehicles, fresh off the lot, may benefit from a two-step correction service. Despite being relatively new, the vehicle has undergone various handling, washing, and transportation processes during its pre-sale period, accumulating swirls and imperfections along the way.
Paint correction is a commitment to preserving your vehicle's aesthetics.
Proper maintenance post-service is crucial to sustaining the results. Neglecting proper washing and drying techniques can reintroduce swirls and scratches, undoing the work done during the correction process.
This meticulous detailing service demands significant time and effort, typically ranging from 8 to 15 hours depending on factors such as your vehicle's condition and the desired outcome.

What's the difference between a wax and a paint correction?
A wax does not remove any scratches or swirls on your paint. It only hides very light swirls by "filling them in". The wax process, when applied with a a machine polisher, can be completed in a few hours. A paint correction does remove scratches and swirls on your paint, which is the reason it makes your car a lot glossier. Given that paint correction is a very tedious and time consuming service, a paint correction can take 1-2 days.
